How should I take care of my gloves?
Dry them low and slow - avoid drying gloves under or near direct heat sources as it can dry out the leather, pulling out the natural oils present in goat leather (which keep it supple & dexterous). Every now and then - after a long, wet day in the woods; or every few weeks - condition your gloves in order to replenish the natural oils in the leather. You can use your conditioner of choice, or if you’re in a bind, just stick your hand in a beehive or use some hydraulic fluid.
What type of leather do you use?
Vermont Glove has used goat leather for durability, dexterity, and weatherization since the beginning. Goat leather has the durability of cowhide, is supple and soft like deerskin, and will dry soft and malleable once wet. That means you don’t have to sit on them the whole car ride to actually use them.

Mighty fine gloves
Fit, well.... like a glove. they look and feel like they are up for the challenge!
Decent gloves
So far so good . Though I can already see wear on the finger tips after a week of chopping logs and stacking so as far as longevity time will tell . Websites a little touchy. Had to do an exchange which was really simple but should not have been necessary due to the website
Vermont Work gloves
I do a lot of firewood cutting, which means plenty of wood handling. Every pair of gloves I've had in the past had the finger tips wear thru. So far these are holding up really good. I believe I will get my moneys worth!
